Our Love Frontier

A Time for Reflection and Comprehension…

Is a “Flat Tax” the Answer?…

America’s Change We Can Believe In

On it’s face, “everybody pays XX%”, sounds fair…and ten percent is a typical number to put out there…but, is this practical, especially when you consider the devastated financial state that so many of us live in, today?

As a disabled vet, with a poverty level, yearly income, a 10% income tax [total, or just federal?] would be devastating.

It seems, the people who think “across the board 10% tax for everyone” is a good thing, are those who historically have been comfortable, and had it fairly good for themselves.

They just don’t comprehend, what something like that would do, to a vast chunk of the population.

Many cant afford it, and things would get ugly, if they tried to enforce it.

You can only keep squeezing for so long, before things begin to break down.

As things stand, I rely on getting my tax returns back…and if 10% were suddenly being taken out of my paychecks [as if I could afford the additional loss, after watching my income chronically dwindle, for the past three years], this would more than double my taxes.

There are reasons, why people who make the least are expected to pay the least amount of taxes…and people who make the most, are expected to pay the most taxes.

The huge losers, will be the people who are just scraping by, and all the people who will no longer have that extra money to put away for emergencies, investment and savings.

…You know…those people who are a paycheck or two away, from being thrown out into the streets…

If comfortable business owners, who are making an average yearly salary, want to pay ten percent, then let them…

…but don’t think for one moment, that “everybody paying 10%” will solve our national woes.

That move would cause far more problems for the majority of people, than it could ever hope to solve…It would make the lives of many [probably millions], nonfunctional…because they could no longer afford to pay their costs, and care for themselves [and their family] properly.

Deep and practical consideration, is in order here.

Aside from that, I actually like much of the other things this guy says, in his video.

Not sure if we can productively move forward with democrats and republicans, though…I think, it may be time for these parties to entirely die.

Simply restocking them, may be a mistake.

Indefinite Detainment of Terrorists…

“A bill introduced today in the Senate would hand the government the power to indefinitely detain terrorism suspects without charge or trial, dealing a swift blow to due process and the rule of law.”

What McCain And Lieberman are up to

I think, “terrorists” are a convenient, panic inducing issue, getting exploited in order to smooth over the glaring fact…that this sort of thing is being imposed, within our system.

If they can write this into law, and enforce it in the face of the U.S. Constitution…then this sort of thing can happen to anybody…anybody at all, that gets accused of being a “terrorist”.

Some politicians, including george w. bush, have had a history of intertwining “pedophiles” with terrorism, when rambling through their mental diarrhea at the political podium.

The writing on the wall has been here, for some time…and the political “undesirables” of the United States…the “underclasses”…especially those of us who have been getting the rawest of deals, all of our lives, and who are prime for an uprising…

…Isn’t it convenient, that they have an excuse, to lay the foundation for a new system, that can just lock people up?…call them “terrorist”, and put them in a cage…

I am thinking more in line of, “domestic terrorism”…or “home grown terrorists”…

…and applying these ideas, to people who are stigmatized, and who merely are trying to communicate with the world…yet, the chronically offended amongst us will fly into a frenzy…and claim they are “terrified” of the stigmatized group(s) and people…

Is such a liberal interpretation “out of line”?…

…Is it wrong to anticipate this?

Double Standards…

“These double-standards whereby some people demand protection for themselves, but complain about it for others is just plain hypocrisy… ” – anonymous

I could not agree more, with this anonymous comment.

To many people out there want it good and fair for themselves, but they could not care less, about any such equivalent for other groups/individuals.

Well said!

The Pope Doesn’t Do Equality?

I’m going to get a bit leachy, here…and link to an interesting post, which Viamund the Rake made on his blog.

It seems, the pope doesn’t like social equality, wherever the church has to cramp it’s own style, in order to accommodate it.

Is it “equal rights”, to allow the catholic church to discriminate against homosexuals, when this is a long held tradition of the catholic church?

Apparently, the pope thinks so, because “equal rights to religious beliefs”, is his spin on all of this.

Someone should explain to him, that his church is not above cultural laws…and cultural laws are [usually] written, with the majority interest in mind.

The Story

This is one of those curious conflicts that arise, when a country has a state religion, and no separation of church and state [which, I'll readily admit, even in the USA, does not truthfully exist either...not in practice].

A similar issue arose, back when I was in elementary school, at a private, baptist school. As a church, they had some sort of tax exempt status…but, equal rights laws were making advances, and this greatly troubled the church…because new proposed requirements, would force them not to discriminate, based upon all sorts of criteria, including sexual orientation.

They were outright suggesting to us, that they would “be forced to” hire a homosexual, and let him/her work amongst us kids, if such a person were to apply to work there.

This was just the absolute worst thing, in their minds…and some kind of “tragic crisis”.

Of course, it blew over…

…but, once I had the chance to step back, and critically analyze it…I never understood what made them think, that any self respecting homosexual would ever want to subject themselves, to the abusive environment of that church/school.

Who is going to apply, and stick around, at any place where they were so clearly reviled and not wanted?

Alternatively, shouldn’t they have wanted “the sinner” there, amongst us…where they could “love” and convert him/her?

I guess, their homophobia [and sex-phobia] was the more pressing issue, here.

Ah…my boyhood schooling…the stories I could tell…

Believe me…No church should ever be allowed, to own it’s own school full of children…ever.

Yes…”Age of Consent” is Stupid…

Some people may take issue, at what might be seen as an inflammatory remark earlier…where I call “age of consent” law, outright stupid.

…but, keep in mind, many people have been foretelling of the outcome, inevitable in these laws [and the blind motives of vengeance and hate, behind them]…some for many years.

What have we gotten from “age of consent”?…

…an all new brand of “sex criminal”…

…one without any real world victims, for starters.

It’s gotten us a parade of young kids [teens, and literal children], now branded as “sex offenders” [many in cases, where authority integrity has outright failed them], for doing nothing more than what normal, healthy, sexual beings do…with consenting partners, even.

It has given us news report, after news report, of the most outrageous stupidity…counterproductive idiocy [which typically does not even serve the purported agendas of the bigots who want these laws].

It has gotten people who are not sexually violent, or even dangerous by any sane, honest assessment, branded “sex offenders”, and placed on “sex offender registries” for life.

This is an awful, life destroying burden upon the people who get snared up into it…It is an inexcusable waste of public funds and resources [why don't we just burn the money, instead?]…and at the end of the day, it just causes far more problems, than it could ever hope to solve.

If people would get past their self supposed “right”, to demand that all things sexual which they don’t understand, “should be deemed a crime”…we could put an enormous amount of social conflict to rest…and move forward, in a meaningfully productive manner.

I call “age of consent” stupid, because it is nothing more than a predatory, political barrier…which is stopping true progress, towards true solutions…It is causing vast, many problems…and we are not better off for having these laws in place.

Some people will disagree, and say that because they act as a deterrent, some children are saved from a terrible fate…as if “that” is their social validity.

…To which I have to remind…laws predating “age of consent”, addressed and dealt with true assaults, quite effectively. There was never any valid reason for additional laws.

No, “age of consent” had ulterior motives behind them…motives that go beyond, and fall outside of, “protecting the public”.

“Age of consent” exists, in order to force wide spread conformity, to a limited range of social, sexual models.

It exists, so that bigots will continually have “perverts”, to blame all the woes of human life upon…so they will always have someone to curse, abuse, exploit, ostracize, politically rape and throw into prison.

There are plenty of people out there, who would like to see “me” thrown into prison, and have all manner of inhumanity befall me…and for what?

…certainly not over any act of violence on my part [I'm not violent]…certainly not because of any danger I pose to children [I'm no danger to children]…

…It is because, some people need a target…and that can be anyone, convenient…so that they have some place to direct their hate, rage and stressful dissatisfaction, with the harshness of their own lives.

Anyone who speaks truths, which others are not comfortable hearing…

…they often become prime targets.

Uganda’s Proposed Homosexual Holocaust.

The EQ. Foundation unequivocally condemns all acts of inhumane treatment, and violence; including those committed under guise of “social protection”.

For this reason, the EQF condemns to the strongest possible degree, what is currently taking place in Uganda.

The Ugandan government is presently seeking to embark, upon a holocaust level assault against homosexuals, within it’s own borders.

While I don’t think to much of online petitions, this one may be worth signing.

Obama takes on Wall Street?

Obama takes on Wall Street? Pt.1

Obama takes on Wall Street? Pt.2

Obama takes on Wall Street? Pt.3

You see, here is the thing…

Obama is a politician, who in a relatively short span of time, rose through the ranks; and became the president of the United States of America…

He didn’t do it alone…nor on his own tab.

Anymore, nobody gets to such a high, political office, without the backing of people and corporations with unimaginably deep pockets.

Will Obama bite the hands that have fed him, and actually turn on Wall Street?

There is a conflict of interest…to say the least…

It sickens me…

…that corporations are being allowed to tear the USA to shreds, and decimate the U.S. public.

I found some interesting links…and at the risk of making it appear, that I am “pro democracy” [as some people on BoyChat seem to believe], I am going to post them here.

I post these for their interesting content, alone. I think, what is being discussed really underscores so much of what is currently wrong; and mortally wrong, with the USA politically and economically, right now.

I wont say a lot about these…I’ll just let you go and watch/listen/read.

Hmmm…Could It Be So?…

This would be more amusing, if it did not seem so true.

A pun of Barack Obama…

You know, I was talking with a friend the other day…politics and the disgraceful state of our economy came up.

I was just saying, if Obama was even remotely serious about stopping the economic hemorrhage, and allowing the USA to make a healthy recover…then he would repeal several of the “free trade” laws enacted by Bill Clinton, and all the “wealthy, corporate free for all” monstrosities unleashed by George W. Bush…He would also put tariffs on imports, back into their rightful place…

Is Obama serious, about recovering our economy and bringing back stable jobs, with living and prosperous wages?…

…Obama has not uttered a mere peep, about any of these fundamental vitalities, which are required to get the USA into recovery, and back on track.

His silence speaks volumes.

The First Ever Open BoyLover President of the United States of America?

YouTube Video

You know, I have an uneasy kind of appreciation [and respect], for Ron Paul.

He is a darling of the conservative, christian base, and especially loved by the more extreme groups…like the people who believe that “christianity supersedes government”.

I’ve seen plenty enough about Ron Paul, to know that he is a bigot; and if he ever attained the office of U.S. presidency, he would pose a significant danger to sexual minorities…in my opinion.

I’ve personally heard him in interviews, on more extreme shows [where conspiracy theories run rampant], talking about “the gay agenda”; and making it clear…he is no friend to sexual minorities.

In fact, he is a proponent of the “christian”, nuclear family model…and shows little tolerance, for anything else.

It is for this reason, that Ron was targeted, and set up in a mock interview, filmed for the movie “Bruno”…and I found Mister Paul’s words, as he was storming out of the hotel, to be quite revealing…though, not at all surprising.

I have never voted for Ron Paul, and on a humanitarian basis, I cannot ever see myself doing so.

…so, why is it…

…that the only person in government talking frankly about the U.S. economy, has got to be Ron Paul?

I’ve known this for years…and yes, Ron Paul makes quite good sense, when it comes to discussing what is wrong with U.S. economic policy.

On a personal level, it really makes me sick…to ponder the notion that one would “have to” vote for Ron Paul, in order to get anyone into a position, that “might” actually save the USA, economically.

I am not up for trade offs…

…Pedosexuals have relented, and given up far to much ground, already…More losses, are not acceptable.

Why cant we have a sane person, who is out there speaking like this?…Why cant we have dozens of them?…or hundreds?…or thousands?

Am “I” going to have to get involved in politics, myself, if I want to see anything sane accomplished in government?…

…Should it become my life ambition, to become the first ever, open BoyLover, to serve as the U.S. president?

…anyone out there want to make history?
