What happens after our legal rights are won?
In my opinion, we need to seek a cultural structure which incorporates parents and members of our immediate community, and that understands our natural utility in nurturing and raising children, as more of a “community” team.
We can not stop “growing apart”, anymore than we can stop death (which also separates people), and we should come to terms with the fact that we are all in anyone’s life, for only a limited time.
It is what you make of what you have, that counts.
…or, at least this is what my ethical logic leads me to…
